....the new “ELVIS BY THE PRESLEYS” double CD and DVD have scored an impressive foothold on the Billboard charts. The “ELVIS BY THE PRESLEYS” CD is perched comfortably in the Billboard Top 200, having debuted at #15, and subsequently moving to #19 and now #23 on the album chart — it also holds the #2 spot on the Soundtrack chart this week, having peaked at #1 last week – and to date, the CD has sold more than 132,000 copies. While the eponymous DVD, the expanded version of the highly rated CBS special, debuted at #1 on the comprehensive music video charts, selling 54,339 copies.

The two-disc CD “ELVIS BY THE PRESLEYS” contains 32 tracks including number one hits “In The Ghetto,” “Suspicious Minds,” and “Heartbreak Hotel,” legendary gems like “Trouble” and “Always On My Mind,” and the new classic “A Little Less Conversation” which put Elvis back on top of the charts in 2002. The rarities disc includes previously unreleased private recordings and Elvis at work in the studio recording “Jailhouse Rock” and “Too Much Monkey Business.”
The “ELVIS BY THE PRESLEYS” DVD is a two-disc set with more than four hours of content and bonus features, much of it previously unreleased.

Passt zwar noch immer nicht zumThema, dennoch... weil ich grad' drüber stolperte und es zudem amüsant fand:

Charttechnische Anmerkung:

Letztlich war die CD -beginnend mit dem 21. August 2005- acht Wochen im österreichischen Album-Chart notiert; Höchstposition dabei: #12 (eine Woche).

Und wie im verlinkten Beitrag schon erwähnt: ELVIS BY THE PRESLEYS als "Music DVD" kam schlussendlich auf immerhin sieben Nummer Eins-Notierungen bei insgesamt dreizehnwöchigem Chartaufenthalt in den Top 10.

ich finde folgenden Bericht, insbesondere die Interviews wirklich interessant und freue mich sehr auf die Dokumentation, weniger auf die CD, aber es wird sicherlich mindestens ein schöner abend, wenn ich mir das anschaue!

Ich weiß , das SKY den Kanal Sky Atlantic hat, der Serien und Dokus von HBO bringt.

Blöd, dass auch nicht jeder Sky hat...

Ich warte auf eine eventuelle DVD-Veröffentlichung. Die Rezensionen in den Foren sind nicht allzu positiv.
Tenor:
war zu erwarten, das übliche Blabla, Elvis - das Opfer des raffgierigen Colonels, Elvis - der große Künstler, der sich nicht entfalten konnte wegen Knebelverträgen usw.
Jerry und Prissi sind auf jeden Fall sehr stolz auf ihr Werk und hoffen, so hört man, auf einen Emmy für die "beste Doku".

Falls es die DVD mal geben sollte, mache ich mir lieber selbst ein Bild . Sie wird ja wohl kein Vermögen kosten.
