drei neue Veröffentlichungen

im Juli 2007



Rechtzeitig zum Elvis-Sommer 2007 veröffentlicht BMG's Sub-Label FTD Records drei neue Elvis-CD's auf einen Schlag:

Das brandneue Studio-Album "I SING ALL KINDS OF SONGS" mit unveröffentlichten Studio-Arbeiten der 1971er Nashville-Sessions...

Das lang ersehnte Remake von "RAISED ON ROCK" als prallgefülltes DOPPEL-ALBUM, mit zahlreichen Outtakes und Studio-Proben... und, last but not least, and for the very first time...

ein vollwertiges, komplettes Soundtrack-Album zu "EASY COME, EASY GO". Hierfür wählte FTD Records genügend interessantes Archivmaterial, um damit erstmals ein ganzes Album füllen zu können.

Seinerzeit veröffentlichte RCA in den USA keine eigenständige Soundtrack-LP zu diesem Film, sondern begnügte sich mit einem kürzeren EP-Album. Nur Neuseeland brachte eine eigenständige "EASY COME, EASY GO" LP auf den Markt. Da RCA Neuseeland jedoch Etikettenschwindel betrieb und diese LP mit einem halben Dutzend filmfremder Songs aus "BLUE HAWAII", "G.I. BLUES" und "FUN IN ACAPULCO" aufstockte, um so genügend Material für eine ganze LP zusammentragen zu können, kann diese Platte nicht wirklich als reiner "Easy Come, Easy Go" Soundtrack bezeichnet werden. Und so bekommen wir tatsächlich erst 40 Jahre später das erste, eigenständige "EASY COME, EASY GO" Album geliefert.

Nachdem FTD Records in der Vergangenheit bereits die Soundtracks zu "KID GALAHAD", "FOLLOW THAT DREAM", "TICKLE ME" und "VIVA LAS VEGAS" erstmals als eigenständige Alben veröffentlichte, schließt die Plattenfirma nun eine weitere Lücke in der Wunschliste vieler Fans.

FTD Ankündigung

The regular July 1 release is called "I Sing All Kinds" and contains a compilation of outtakes from the sessions in Nashville during 1971. There will be two additional releases in the Classic Album Series for July; "Raised On Rock" (2CD) and "Easy Come Easy Go" (single disc), featuring the newly discovered original stereo mixes.
