Muhammad Ali turns 65, and still enjoys time with Elvis: Muhammad Ali turns 65 on Wednesday, the heavyweight champion who rocked the world is a senior citizen now. Although he is badly affected by Parkinson's disease his mind remains sharp and clear, and his passion for people hasn't faded with age. Interestingly visitors to his home in Arizona often find Ali absorbed in the past, watching documentaries on his fights & life - and Elvis Presley movies. Ali's friend Jimmy Walker (who organises the annual Ali fundraiser "Fight Night" in the battle against Parkinsons) said, "He watches movies and he listens to Elvis; I always hear Elvis in the background. He really likes Elvis a lot."
In the seventies Ali and Elvis were friends spending time together. In the past Ali has said, "Elvis had a robe made for me. I don't admire nobody, but Elvis Presley was the sweetest, most humble and nicest man you'd want to know." Thirty five years later both of them now have their images used for marketing brands to younger generations. Ali sold the rights to his name and likeness for $50 million last year.
