Hi All

Just a few pieces of information from FTD:

1) Wheras the masters are definitely public domaine the outtakes are not. Outtakes released within the 50 year period following their recording date are protected for 50 years from the date of release.

2) In the U.S. nothing is P..D.

3) As some people know. FTD has been working on our G.I. BLUES project for a while. The reason it takes
a lot of time to complete, is that to achieve the optimum sound you have to go back to the original 3-track tapes, and re-mix
all the material -expensive and time consuming (something only SONY/FTD will be able to do, since nobody else has the tapes).

4) And off course the FTD release will include everything.

Ob die Aufmachung bei FTD auch so schön sein wird wie bei MRS (Longbox im Querformat)?.......

Nur wird die FTD Veröff. auch nicht den Preis von MRS haben u. daher ist ein Vergleich nicht wirklich zweckmäßig.

Alles? Sicher? Zwar haben die FTD-Jungs bei Jailhouse Rock auch alles genommen was da war, aber jetzt auch wirklich alles kompletto in Sachen G.I. Blues? Hmmm.... Ausverkauf bei FTD?
Spricht dann natürlich alles dafür, auch bei Blue Hawaii alles rauszukloppen was da is....
Man darf gespannt sein.

Ein MRS Set (wenn ich Tupelo oder New York oder Sun nehme) ist im Vergleich zu einer FTD doch im Preis-Leistungsverhältnis weit voraus

Ja aber nur wenn du den ganzen Ramsch den kein Mensch wirklich braucht auch dazu rechnest.Wenn es nur um den Tonträger geht kommt nicht viel dabei heraus.Od. hast du schon mal eine unveröff. Aufnahme bei MRS gehört.

Ich weiss nicht wovon du redest. Neues wirst du da dann ja auch auf FTD nicht hören denke ich.
Und den Ramsch (den ich bei MRS bisher erstklassig fand) den keiner braucht mag ich sehr gerne weil er mir gefällt.

FTD macht ja (müssen sie ja) daraus zwei Ausgaben wie bei Jailhouse Rock, also wird der Preis wohl ca. gleich oder sogar höher als bei MRS inclusive schönem Ramsch liegen

Nur die beiden Jailhouse Rock FTD's hatten zu 80%unveröff. Material u. nicht nur aufgewärmtes zu bieten.
