Great to see you here CiscoKing, I hope you remember our take analysis ?
However a good deal of Tunzi's list is based on speculation, not on facts.
This is how it works:
1. Tunzi interviewed people or finds a list with POSSIBLE numbers for rehearsal (let's say July '69)
2. Tunzi then states in his book "and this are the songs which were likely rehearsed"
3. Some websites (UK) will then state that Song A-Z have been rehearsed
but that only a portion have been released on tape.
4. And the rumour is out: there must be a tape with unreleased songs...
where is the tape, Ernst..when will you release these ?
This is totally BS...there is no tape in this example (only in the heads of people
who want to promote their website / or poor fans who really think that all those numbers were really
rehearsed / recorded on tape and unreleased).
The sad reality is that 99 % of all studio recordings have been released.
There are some unreleased SB recordings, some incomplete, but the combination of a complete SB
in good quality with Elvis at his best - is not very likely - though some exceptions do exist.
And there are ofcourse some unreleased movie outtakes / acetates:
Like the unreleased alternate movie master of Clambake and some other
unreleased outtakes (I have posted on Master & Session's website).
But there is more news...there is an unreleased interview tape of Elvis
and Uncle Buck (1957)....If you need more details - just send me a pm.
Again, good to hear from you again CK !Zuletzt geändert von Gast; 14.05.2009, 02:03- Übersetzen

Ron Lipe aka "Uncle Buck" interviewed Elvis for a local radiostation in
Belleville when Elvis performed in St. Louis on March 29th 1957.
Ron recorded the (10 minutes) interview but it was never released.
Anyhow, I have the contact details of his son who owns the tape.
He also told me that he might make copies one day, so it would be
nice if Ernst Jorgensen could release this interview on FTD, because
so very few live recordings from 1957 does exist.
Below a picture of Uncle Buck interviewing Elvis.
If you look closely, you can also see the tape recorder.

So that's something "new" that has been found...thank you E-Cat for that info. What do you think is in the hands of private collectors? I mean ,for instance, I see all this DVDs with third generation copies of 8mm Films of Elvis which were filmed on video from 8mm projections and then transfered to digital medium. Someone has the orginal 8mm films..if they were digitalised like praytome have done with some films, we would have much better material. And there could be some tapes, even SB-recordings in private hands, or don`t you think so? What`S with the big collectors ? What is known about what they have in store?Ohne Worte!- Übersetzen

I hope it's okay (for now) that I narrow my reply down to the 50's. Anyhow, without being complete, this is what I know what has not been released:
- unedited April 57 footage (as partly shown in This is Elvis). I talked with Chuck Staley about this a few months ago and he is considering to release the unedited footage. Owned by Chuck Staley - to be released.
-footage as shot by the Los Angeles Police Department - LAPD (Oct'57). A part of it survived in poor quality. Private Hands
- unedited Army footage of his Army induction (March 23 '58), Brooklyn Press conference, boarding the USS Randall, arrival in Bremen etc. This was scheduled to be released last August during Elvis week but the new release date is set for this summer and will be part of a combined book / dvd release). The footage will be licensed for this project.
- Army footage by local media (Ray Barracks Oct' 58, Ray Barracks Open House April '59, Grafenwhör 1960), footage by Paramount crew Aug' 59 Goethestr (when Hall Wallis arrived and visited Elvis in Bad Nauheim). Status: unreleased / partially in private hands
But really I am not a private colletor or an expert of unreleased footage, so I can only share what I know.Zuletzt geändert von Gast; 15.05.2009, 02:23- Übersetzen
