Like a ball game on a rainy day Feel so bad Like a ball game on a rainy day Yes I got my rain check Shake my head and walk away Oooo-people thats the way I feel Oooo-people thats the way I feel Sometimes I think I want Then again I think I dont Sometimes I want to stay here Then again I want to leave here Then again I want to stay Yes, I got my train fare Pack my grip and ride away Oooo-people thats the way I feel Oooo-people thats the way I feel Sometimes I think I want Then again I think I dont Und Elvis:

C.C.Rider aka See See Rider Blues (ein 12-bar Blues--> http://de.wikibooks.org/wiki/Gitarre...g_in_den_Blues) wurde das 1. Mal von Gertrude "Ma" Rainey 1924/25 aufgenommen. Sie war auch eine der Ersten weibl. Bluessängerinnen und wird oft auch "The Mother of the Blues" genannt. Elvis, Chuck Willis...jeder singt es vom Text her immer etwas anders. Hier mal der Original Text von "Ma" Rainey:
See see rider see what you have done, Lord, Lord, Lord Made me love you, now your gal has come You made me love you, now your gal has come I'm goin' away, baby, I won't be back till fall, Lord, Lord, Lord Goin' away, baby, won't be back till fall If I find me a good man, won't be back at all I'm gonna buy me a pistol, just as long as I am tall, Lord, Lord, Lord Shoot my man, and catch a cannonball If he won't have me, he won't have no gal at all See See Rider, where did you stay last night? Lord, Lord, Lord Your shoes ain't buttoned and your clothes don't fit you right You didn't come home till the sun was shining bright ![]() Leider hab ich nur die Version von Chuck Willis(der es 1957 aufnahm):
