50 years ago today, marked the premiere of "King Creole", probably Elvis's best movie. The story was based on the novel "A Stone for Danny Fisher" and received excellent reviews. Just ten days before Elvis reported for military service, the last scenes were taped. Elvis returned to the movie set in 1960, but his 'new' all family movies would never match his outstanding performance in this masterpiece, King Creole.
