I guess the storie about Ursula Andress is not correct
|
You are right - this is not correct, he could never have given the BMW to Ursula as he never owned the car. Not sure how this story entered the Elvis world, but it confirms why most stories should be verified
What I think about the Barret Jackson aution ?
Well, if you only read the following lines, there is no need to read it any further. Just BS!
Elvis returned to the USA with his BMW 507 Roadster
No way, the BMW was returned at BMW Glöckler in Frankfurt before he returned to the US !
In 1963, Elvis gave the vehicle to Ursula Andress during the filming of the movie Fun in Acapulco. She kept the car for over 20 years at her home in Beverly Hills, California. It was sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction in 1997 for $350,000.
One of those many great Elvis stories ..........
