...vom einem shaver buch aus dem jahre 1979 !!

Sean Shaver was Elvis' unofficial official photographer. He was never on the payroll but attended many of Elvis' concerts in the 70's and followed him around at his homes. Don't get the idea that Sean was some kind of stalker- far from it. By his own estimation Sean took about 80,000 photos and this is the first of 8 books that put them together. The text is written by Hal Noland and his primary sources were Charlie Hodge, Dick Grob, and Billy Smith, 3 men who all worked with Elvis for many years. Smith is even Elvis' cousin. Shaver provided the photographs and they are the best part of this book. Not only did Sean take pictures, he has bought and traded for others and some of those appear here too. You get everything from candids from the 40's and 50's to the last concert in 1977. While not the biggest of Sean's books it is probably the most comprehensive. If you want big, check out the Elvis Book series. #They weigh 7 or 8 pounds and are huge#. The Life of Elvis Presley won't educate you if you are a long time fan but that isn't the point of this book. It is a puff piece with lost of good stories and tons of great pictures. ...
