Smiley Lewis nahm den Song im Okt./Nov. 1955 auf, veröffentlicht wurde er aber erst im März 1956.
Elvis nahm im Januar 1957 zuerst One Night of Sin auf, der aber erst nach über 30 J. offiz. veröffentlicht wurde. Nachdem man den Originaltext textlich "entschärfte", wurde daraus Elvis' Version "One Night" u. erschien im Oktober 1958.
