Zukunft des FTD-Labels / neues Interview

Ernst Jorgensen did an interview with the Brazilian Elvis Collectors site. He gave a few glimpses into the future of the Follow That Dream label which he sees active for the next 5 years.

The FTD label is working on more book projects, the first one being a book about Elvis' time at Sun, a bigger project about the seventies is at an early planning stage but definitely won't be ready until next year.

The remainder of the Stax sessions material from 1973 will probably be released on three Classic Album reissues. There will probably be a another release with outtakes from the Nashville 1971 outtakes, but it's not one of the next releases.

The label is working on several other ideas; one of the favourite ideas is a box of the best bootlegs and there will be another August 1974 release since BMG has almost all the shows.

And finally on sound improvement, for the general public Ernst commends "We always try and upgrade the sound, but I don't think anybody supports to SACD format anymore".

Also, ich finde die Idee mit einer "Best Of Bootleg"-Box irgendwie cool. Freue mich schon auf die Song aus der Opening Show 72 auf der neuen FTD "An American Trilogy". Könnte cool werden ....
