zum gedenken an elvis presleys fünfundzwanzigsten totestag erscheint das cd-set
today, tomorrow & forever mit "einhundert bisher nicht veröffentlichten aufnahmen". das stimmt zwar, aber im vergleich mit dem vorgänger
plattinum (1997) sind doch einige kritische anmerkungen notwendig . fast alle outtakes sind mit ihren master oder mit früheren veröffentlichten outtakes so gut wie identisch. andere songs sind zweit- oder dritrangig. wer hätte zum beispiel erwartet
long leggend girl (whit the short dress on) in einem solchen karriererückblick zu finden ? das einzig wirklich neue ist das wieder entdeckte titellied, eines der jahrelang vermissten duette mit ann margret. hübsch, aber für ein teures vier-cd-set zu wenig. verkaufszahlen sind noch nicht bekannt.
