Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville has gained another not-to-be-missed honky tonk. Nudie’s opened their doors yesterday and before you let your brain wander any further, there are no naked girls (or guys) dancing or serving up cocktails as the name might lead you to believe. Rather the bar is named after Nudie Cohn who was a tailor to some of history’s biggest stars; specializing in rhinestone-covered embroidered themed suits commonly referred to as “Nudie Suits”. The walls of the 3-story venue are covered in memorabilia including many of the suits Nudie created as well as one of several cars he glammed up.
