genau richtig zur elvis international tribute week schickt RCA nämlich collectors gold in die plattenläden , eine box mit drei cd's oder lp's, die nue outtakes enthält, und zwar aus den drei städten hollywood, nasville und las vegas. aus hollywood stammen das hervorragende lonely man (ein solo, der whistling tune (für den film "follow that dream) und ein paar zeilen i aplogise. nashville bitet like a baby und give me the right(stark!) sowie geistreicheeinführung in i got a woman/heartbreak hotel auf (going home) . ebenfalls dabei sind zwei auffalende originale von später geänderten songs: ask me und memphis, tennessee. der live-teil stammt aus dem jahr 1969 ruberneckin und vor allem ein rasantes baby,,what you want me to do ragen heraus, und auch this is the story, inherit the wind und reconsider baby sind den sammlern sehr willkommen.
die box hat eine verkaufte startauflage von mindestens 100'000 stück weltweit. nicht schlecht für ein produkt, das sich speziell an den sammler wenet und ohne werbung auskommen muss. in grossbritannien steht die box schon eine woche nach herausgabe auf platz 57. eine gute arbeit, abgesehen von von der sehr dünen broschüre mit ihren bisweilen falschen und fast immer unvollständigen informationen. ;-)
