Have you ever wondered what it would have been like to experience amazing shows like the two Nassau Coliseum concerts on July 19th, 1975? Or even controversial shows like College Park ’74? Good news for all fans of rare Elvis footage, because we have just obtained the complete Rex Martin 8mm footage collection, and plan to release it all over the next months. Much of this footage is superb quality, with amazing action clips and fantastic close-ups. This is as close as it gets to experiencing the man in concert!

Our first release is “Sold Out! The Rex Martin 8mm Collection volume 1”, a 2 DVD-set that contains THREE hours of rare 8mm footage, most of it never released before. All from the original tapes, raw and unedited, everything just as it was originally recorded. We decided to release this footage as is, without any editing, for historical purposes.
There are many amazing, lovely, cool, funny and GREAT moments on this release: Elvis using his guitar like a bayonet during ‘C.C. Rider’ in Uniondale ‘75, singing a rare ‘Shake, Rattle & Roll’ during the rock medley in ‘73, and much, much more. This is the REAL Elvis, captured live during tours from ’70 to ’76.
PLEASE Support this release and we will finally open the floodgates for rare & amazing footage. This is a release from fans to fans. We could have included an expensive book to make more money, but we just wanted to make this material available in the most affordable way possible. Hence this 2DVD-set that’s absolutely filled with rare 8 mm footage.

Was weiß man über Rex Martin´s 8mm Collection ?

wo gibt es die?

Beim HdV

Gibts schon infos ob das eine Fabrik DVD ist oder eine gebrannte?

Handelt es sich um einen originalen Kamera Ton von, oder wurde der synchronisiert mit AR oder SB?
Oder sind es stumme Super 8 Aufnahmen?

Der Preis ist vom Prinzip her okay wäre es eine aktuelle VÖ–, trotzdem sind 39 Euro Abzocke wenn man bedenkt, dass da keine wirklichen Rechte mehr bedient werden müssen, außer an den ursprünglich Filmenden. Oder müssen die noch an Elvis und seine ganze Sippe irgendwas abtreten? Is ja nix offziell lizenziertes, oder? (Kennt jemand "Pyramid"?) Oder irre ich da? Die reinen Produktionskosten sind in Masse höchstens ein paar Euro wert.

Ja und dann wirbt man damit, das man alles unbearbeitet zur Verfügung stellt um den Originaleindruck nicht zu verfälschen. In meiner Übersetzung heißt das: Wir könnens nicht und wir wollen es nicht, weil es viel zu (zeit)aufwendig ist. Farben usw. kann man in Videoschnittprogrammen ja automatisch korrigieren lassen, aber bei echten Bildfehlern wirds schon verdammt eng, da kommt man nicht um teure Progs herum, die dann auch bedient werden wollen. However, Originale sind immer gut, die kann man dann wenigstens selbst verpfuschen.

Und schließlich der Satz, dass das HD Material wäre, stimmt für die Veröffentlichung jedenfalls nicht. Zwar kann man einen 8 mm Film in FHD abtasten (wie bei der Prince Box), die Ergebnisse sind bei gutem 8 mm Material dann von der Schärfe her so ein Zwischending zwischen SD und HD, aber diese Veröffentlichung hier kommt ja als DVD, also kann die Auflösung maximal SD, sprich 720 x 576 Pixel sein. Selbst wenn man ein DVD Rohling außerhalb der Spezifikation als BluRay brennt, kommts nicht hin bei 1 1/2 Laufzeit pro DVD.

Wenn das wirklich gutes Material ist, dann erwartet uns so etwas wie bei der Prince Box, aber bei dem Preis würde ich da schon gern mal ein paar Sample vorher sehen wollen.
