This 2-CD release features the two shows from January 26, 1970 and February 23, 1970. It comes with a 16-page 4-color booklet, featuring great photographs from the season and a insightful essay by Ann Moses Marino. These historic soundboard recordings were made by Elvis’ sound engineer Bill Porter at the request of Tom Diskin.

Disc 1 recorded at the opening night show January 26, 1970 at the International Hotel, Las Vegas.

Ich hege irgendwie die Annahme, im Prinzip benötigt man schon lange keine sogenannte "Import VÖ'en" mehr, auf FTD bekommt man zu gefühlten 99% auch alles halbwegs ansprechende/einigermaßen relevante/"historisch bedeutende" zusammen.

Bin jetzt etwas enttäuscht. Hatte eigentlich für den nächsten Veröffentlichungstermin mit der "Moody Blue" gerechnet. Nun wird es erst Dezember (Verschiebung schon eingeplant).

Die O.S. und C.S. wären nur interessant wenn der Sound wirklich verbessert wäre (ohne die Tonstörungen am Anfang der O.S.). Für den der die Bootlegs nicht besitzt dennoch eine schöne Sache.

Die LP FEIM wird ein MUSS für mich :wub::hurra::hurra::hurra:

Solange FTD - möglicherweise erfolglos, wie im Fall der Boston Show von '71 - Aufnahmen, die z.B. von Madison als Bootlegs herausgebracht wurden, "wieder-"veröffentlicht, gebe ich meine Bootleg Versionen von interessanten Shows sicher nicht weg.

Passt zwar nicht unbedingt zum Thema, aber ich schätze FTD wegen der ganzen Classic und Soundtrack Alben :top:
Die ganzen Soundboards, v.a. die 76er, sind nicht so mein Ding :noidea:
Offizielle VÖ's sind mir generell lieber als Bootlegs :ups:

Wenn man etwas Zeit mitbringt und nicht zwingend alle Live-Shows braucht, ist man mit FTD sicherlich gut bedient. Allerdings soll es ja schon mal vorgekommen sein, das Import-Produzenten die FTD-Veröffentlichungen signifikant verbessern konnten oder Aufnahmen vollständiger herausgebracht haben.

Das Cover der "On Stage Season" gefällt mir sehr gut. Ich finde es sehr schön, die beiden Shows offiziell zu bekommen, auch wenn ich sie von Madison schon habe. Werde ich mir trotzdem von FTD zulegen. Die anderen Releases sind für mich nicht so interessant...
