Spirit Of Jackson, MS
 

On May 5th 1975, Elvis performed a concert in aid of the McComb tornado victims at the State Fair Coliseum, Jackson, Mississippi. Elvis raised $108, 860 to help residents who were affected by the devastation. The audio for this show is damaged beyond repair.
However, 'Sprit Of Jackson, MS' includes two other shows from the State Fair Coliseum. Just over a month after the charity show, Elvis performed in Jackson again and this show is featured on the second disc. Disc 1 stays at the same venue for a concert given in September 1976.

Disc 2 ( es muß die Evening Show sein ) gab es ja bereits ( von Venus " Leaving Jackson on fire " ), aber die CD 1, hat es dieses Konzert schon einmal als Import Soundboard gegeben und wenn Ja, wie heißt diese CD ???

Ist CD 1 ein Soundboard? Das wär ja echt toll.
Bisher kenne ich von der Show nämlich kein SB.

Disk 1 ist neu..gab es nur als AR vorher...disc 2 kennen wir von Cut Em Down To Size..
Interessant: Jambalaya stammt nicht von der Show, wie in den liner notes der Import angegeben..ich hab Ernst extra danach gefragt..da haben die bootlegger wieder mal geschummelt..Robert...bitte dann mal auf Fehler achten..ich habe das cover vorher gesehen und Kommentare abgegeben....mal sehen ob diesmal alles passt.

Gut das mit Jambalaja war ohnehin klar weil das wurde derart stümperhaft in die Aufnahme hineingeschnitten.

Es war aber nicht klar, ob es tatsächlich gesungen wurde, wie es in den technical notes der Import zu lesen ist.

Ja aber man hat ja einfach die bekannte Version vom 4.5.75 Lake Charles hinein geschnitten.

Der Pfusch mit "Jambalaya" ist ja quasi schon Allgemeinwissen. Die bislang beste Quelle ist auch nicht "Cut 'em Down To Size" von Pegasus, sondern "Leaving Jackson On Fire" von Venus. Die Venus Variante klingt auch erheblich besser als die alte Pegasus-VÖ.

Bei der sind allerdings die ersten drei Songs (wie fast schon üblich) von der Memphis Show vom 10. Juni hinzugefügt worden.

September 1976 ist zumindest etwas besser als Sommer 1976. Zu Jubelstürmen vermag mich die Ankündigung trotz ordentlichen Line-Ups nicht wirklich verleiten. Für meinen Geschmack sind es derzeit ein wenig arg viel '76er Shows.

Die Jackson Show von Juni 1975 mag konzeptionelle Gründe haben, aber die Memphis Show von zwei Tagen später ist so viel besser und gerade erst veröffentlicht worden. FTD ist ein Geschenk des Himmels für Sammler wie mich, aber die Veröffentlichungspolitik ist nichts für Logiker.

Das Cover ist aber nicht ein Bild vom Juni 75 Konzert oder ???

Ich denke das ist dann vom Mai Konzert !?

Gibt es denn da kein passendes Bild ???
