We´d like to introduce the new label BLACK DIAMOND with it´s first release of a show originally recorded for the 1972 movie „ON TOUR“. This show has been taken from a digital copy of a rough stereo mix made from the original multitrack tapes some years ago. The sound on this CD has been professionally remastered to achieve optimum audio quality.

We are aware that this show will also be released by the VICTROLA label... BUT..! After listening to their previous release of the Greensboro show, we think that the remastering has not been done properly. It simply was a digital overkill with way too much compression, muffled sound and a lack of separation of the instruments. You can expect the same digital overkill on their forthcoming Richmond release! Our competitors even swapped the stereo channels which means that the piano comes out of the right speaker.... Which is completely wrong !

Please note that Black DIAMOND remastered this show from a digital copy of the very same source tape that our competitors used for their release. We are sure the difference is amazing.

On BLACK DIAMOND the sound is crisp and clear with all intruments clearly audible. And Elvis´ voice sounds much more natural than on the other label.They achieved a some kind of artificial sound. Not very enjoyable...

So if you want to add this show to your collection in the best quality ever then BLACK DIAMOND should be your choice. You won´t be disappointed!

Ich glaube mir reden weiter über das Thema wenn wir die Aufnahmen gehört haben. Die Ankündigungen der Labels halten sehr oft dann der tatsächlichen Tonqualität nicht stand.


Es wird meiner Meinung nach Zeit dass sich das FTD Label endlich dieser On Tour Konzerte annimmt weil sonst bekommen wir noch 10 Imports von allen 4 Shows. Und natürlich ist jedes mal der Sound noch besser.

Ich kaufe die Konzerte nicht mehr. Irgendwann reicht es mit Neuauflagen.:roll:

Ich hab dieses Band schon seit Jahren zuhause...Soll ich es auch veröffentlichen..:grins:

Schon wieder ein neues Bootleg Label? Wie oft wird denn dieses Konzert noch veröffentlicht? Da klaut ein Label vom anderen. Wollte doch Victrola auch rausbringen. Wer soll das alles noch verstehen?

Da sieht man, dass die Bootleger kein unveröffentlichtes Soundboard Live Material mehr haben, da immer wieder dieselben Sachen aufgewärmt werden.

Das wird dann nur interessant für diejenigen, die die alten Bootlegs nicht haben. Dann könnte eine Neuveröffentlichung durchaus interessant sein.
Bei den 4 On Tour Konzerten (bzw. 3, denn San Antonio haben wir ja schon auf der Close Up) würde ich mir mal wirklich langsam eine FTD wünschen in astreinem Stereo, dann hört das auf mit den Bootleggern zu diesem Thema. Aber solange die das Rechtethema mit Warner nicht klären können/wollen, wird das nie was.

Hat jemand das Coverfoto in high res? Ist zumindest Richmond. Victrola hat ja ein bekanntes El Paso Foto vom 12. November verwendet - warum auch imnmer.

Aha, dann gibt es die Victrola CD schon zu kaufen? Auf ebay sehe ich bisher nur pre sale Angebote. Oder hat jemand eine Quelle?
