Memphis/Florida/Memphis Jahreswechsel 2013/14
 

Wir (2 meiner Kids, mein Mann und ich) waren vom 27.12. bis 29.12. in Memphis (Heartbreak Hotel), dann in Florida und ab dem 07.01. bis 09.01.14 wieder in Memphis (Hampton Inn and Suites Beale Street).

Beim letzten Urlaub hat uns eine erwachsene Tochter begleitet. Wir haben viele Fotos mit ihr... und die setze ich nicht ein ;).

Zum Urlaub noch einmal: Es ist immer ein Wagnis, mit einem kranken Kind so eine Reise zu machen. Das klappt nur mit viel Vorbereitung.

Unser Sohn leidet an einer seltenen Neuro-Immunologischen Erkrankung, er hat einen Immundefekt und nur einen Bruchteil Energie.

Wir arrangieren uns so gut es geht damit. Mit viel Planung und einem tollen Arzt im Hintergrund haben wir es wieder gewagt...

Unser Sohn war nicht in Graceland, Civil Rights Museum, BB King Blues Club, Schwab... nicht in den Universal Studios Orlando etc. pp. - Aber dafür hat er gleich zwei NBA Spiele besuchen können (Orlando und Memphis), hat unsere Kreditkarte beim Shoppen zum Glühen gebracht, war in St. Augustin (auch wenn er nur im Auto geblieben ist, direkt an der Festung, während wir noch einen Spaziergang durch die Altstadt gemacht haben), war in SeaWorld und hat die Universal City gesehen.

Am letzten Abend in Orlando hat er mich in sein Zimmer gerufen... und hat mich gefragt, ob er nicht ein Jahr in die USA kann, es würde ihm dort so viel besser gehen als in Deutschland!!! ... und das, obwohl er doch so viel nicht mitmachen konnte. Da sieht man mal, wie sich seine und unsere Wahrnehmung unterscheidet. Er war dankbar für die wenigen Attraktionen und dafür, dass man ihn in Ruhe gelassen hat, wenn er diese bitter nötig hatte. Unsere Prepaid Handys haben uns einen guten Dienst erwiesen, so konnten wir immer in Verbindung bleiben und jeder ist zu seinem Recht gekommen.

Und - wir werden es wieder tun!!! Allein schon, weil es unserem Kind dort besser ging...
