Elvis At MAdison Square Garden - FTD Buch
 

The concert that Elvis did on June 10, 1972 at Madison Square Garden in New York is still in the top twenty most successful happenings in this legendary, mainly used for sports purposes, building. Elvis had 80,000 visitors in four days. Not bad in a city where southern boys were usually considered as stupid peasants. Elvis came, saw and conquered.

Elvis' personality, charisma if you like, were enough. Plus his voice and great songs. Listen to 'Never been to Spain', 'Proud Mary', the funky editing of 'Hound Dog'.

The new FTD book entitled "Start Spreading The News", which is currently under construction, is about these concerts as of June 1972. Our Norwegian colleague Pål Granlund already sent us the book cover.

Ist irgendwie klar, was sollte es da noch unveröffentlicht geben ???

...werde ich mir zulegen (hab ja fast keine der FTD Bücher :ups:)

na da lassen wir uns mal überraschen--- immerhin war Lorentzen und Granlund im MSG dabei . allerdings hat "Miss MSG" von www.msg1972.com hier nicht ihre Finger im Spiel - was ich erstaunlich finde, dass man sie nicht involviert hat, denn ich glaube keiner hat soviel Kenne über das Material wie Susan...
warten wir mal ab wie es wird...

A title promised for Christmas release featuring Elvis' June 1972 appearances which were kicked off with Madison Square Garden three shows over 10th & 11th June, giving the reason for the play on words of the lyrics of the Frank Sinatra hit "New York, New York". Also in June after the Big Apple Elvis tour continued with dates in Fort Wayne and Evansville, in Indiana, then onto Milwaukee for two dates in the Wisconsin capital. The tour continues with two shows in Chicago (Illinois), one in Fort Worth (Texas), then Wichita (Kansas), and finally Tulsa (Oklahoma). The 14 shows netted Elvis over $600,000 (Soundtrack CD expected to include selections from the above shows to accompany the book)

Ja es waren vier. Die 1. aber schon am 9.6.72. Hier geht es scheinbar nur um 10.6. u. 11.6.72.:gruebel:

Ich lese das so, dass es alle Shows bis zum 20. Juni betrifft und daraus Aufnahmen auf der CD sind. Gibt es denn überhaupt von den "Madison-Nachfolgeshows" Aufnahmen, die auch FTD angemessen sind (von der Qualität)?
