in dem englischsprachigen Fanmagazin Elvis Monthly Juni 2003 hat Geoffrey Mc Donnell eine kleine Liste von Begründungen aufgeführt, warum er glaubt dass es 14 und keine 15 shows gab:


der von ihm genannte holländische Fan (Merijn Van Der Meer) ist sowas wie der hier bekannte ciscoking, also total auf konzerte fixiert und hat hunderte mitschnitte in seiner sammlung.



I have gone through extensive research particularly with Dutch Fan Merijn Van Der Meer.I have now come to the conclusion that I am 100% certain that Elvis only Performed 1 show on Sunday May 9th at 10pm, this I believe for 7 reasons:-

1. Elvis always performed only 1 show on Sundays during 1976 Hotel engagements.
2. Would Elvis really have been capable of performing 2 x 2 hour shows on closing date?.
3. Despite all 14 shows available to 'audio tape enthusiasts' no extra tape from 9th found.
4. In Lee Cottons book 'All Shook Up' Lee shows a ticket for Elvis's final Tahoe show 1976 and it clearly states 10pm!
5. There was a water pistol fight just before If You Love Me at the 8.5.76 M/S and this was started by fans that Elvis joked with during his Final shoe in Tahoe. Elvis greets them joking about the fight last night. If their had been another show in-between wouldn't Elvis had mentioned it too them earlier?, after all they were fans present at Every show this season, yet Elvis refers to the 'last show' as if it was last nights 8.5.76 M/S.
6. The 'bogus' Track listing given (from the author) for Elvis's show in 'DID ELVIS SING IN YOUR HOMETOWN TOO?' IS 100% Fiction and Wrong!.
7. A photo of the Marquee outside of the Sahara Tahoe Hotel May 1976 CLEARLY states ALL 14 shows from Elvis 'Sold Out'.

Fan Judy Linhart erzählt im Tahoe Buch, dass Sie ein Poster zur Mothersday Show geklaut hat. Sie erinnert sich, dass Sie froh war beim letzten Konzert (aus damaliger Sicht) des Engagements dabei sein zu können und wollte dieses Souvenier unbedingt haben. An ein nächtliches Konzert kann sie sich nicht erinnern. Da ihr Ticket als Uhrzeit 10 PM aufweist, ist anzunehmen dass es bei der 10 Uhr Show geblieben ist und kein Zusatzkonzert stattgefunden hat
