Ich hab die DVD gestern gekauft und muss sagen ich find sie ganz gut. Bei dem Interview mit Scotty Moore sagte dieser das Elvis ihn und DJ Fontana nach dem TV Special zu sich nach Hause einlud und fragte ob sie mit ihm auf Europa Tournee gehen würden? Scotty bat um Zeit um offene Projekte zuende zu bringen und danach habe er nie mehr etwas davon gehört da Elvis wie bekannt nach Vegas ging.
Ich hatte vorher noch nie etwas davon gehört das dies mal im Raum gestanden haben soll. Weiß jemand mehr darüber?

Das schreibt scotty in sein Buch
Actually, this is what Scotty says in his book: After the '68
Special, Elvis told Scotty he was about to go on tour again, and was even
planning a European tour. Elvis told Scotty he'd like for Scotty to be in
his band. Scotty accepted the offer, but he never heard from Elvis again.
Elvis also gave Scotty a collection of his 78 rpm records so Scotty could
dub the records over to tape, but Elvis never even contacted Scotty about
the records. Scotty still has the records today, and the book has a picture
of Scotty holding Elvis' 78 rpm records.

Ich glaube das Elvis davon ausging das Scotty +Co ohnehin sein Angebot verneinen würden.Ich glaube nicht das Scotty,Fontana musikalisch mithalten hätten können bei dem Sound und den Musikrichtungen die Elvis ab 69 ging.Schon in den 60ér Jahren spielten diverse Musiker bei Elvis Aufnahmen eine große Rolle.So glaube ich nicht das Elvis ernsthaft hoffte das die beiden mit auf Tour gehen.
