Das Thema hat mir ja keine Ruhe gelassen und ich wollte Euch meine Recherche-Ergebnisse nicht vorenthalten.

Also habe ich mir die From Elvis In Memphis und die That´s The Way It Is als (EU) Music On Vinyl Ausgaben gekauft, um sie mit meinen Testpressungen zu vergleichen, die ich aus den USA habe.
Und siehe da, sie haben die gleiche Matrix Nummern.

Bei discogs fand ich zudem folgendes (ein Auszug):

After Record Industry took over the plant they continued to use the Sony/CBS computer numbers, starting with 08-40000-20 and continued this notation until March 2004 up to number 08-54249-20.
In March 2004, the plant dropped the 08- and format identifier and continued with a simple 5 digit code, starting with number 54250.
When number 99999 was reached in 2014, they continued with number 10000.
The sequential numbers continue up until today.

Meine drei Testpressungen stammen also offensichtlich aus Europa.
Wie sie den Weg in die USA gefunden haben, bleibt ein Geheimnis.
Da ich sie in den USA gekauft habe, ging ich auch davon aus, dass es US-Pressungen sein müssten.

Es gibt somit wohl (wenigstens bis 2012, denn ab da an wurden (zumindest die Testpressungen) der Music On Vinyl - Schallplatten bei RTI in Kalifornien hergestellt) keine US Pressung, sondern nur die niederländischen.

Hier noch ein Hinweis zu RTI.

A record processed by RTI doesn't necessarily mean the company also pressed it.
