Elvis' 1972 Cadillac Custom Wagon sold on EBay!

http://www.elvisinfonet.com/image-files/Caddilac12.jpg

In 1972 the American Sunroof Company made two custom station wagons from Cadillac Deville sedans. One was built for Elvis the other for Dean Martin. The vehicle was delivered to Elvis in Palm Springs California and used by him around town. It then stayed at Colonel Parker's House In Las Vegas. Elvis in fact tried to give it to the Colonel as a present but because the King kept "borrowing it back" the Colonel didn't want to keep it at his house in Vegas. When in Vegas Elvis used this vehicle to cart friends around between shows at the Hilton. The car even had its own carpeted parking space. The car stayed in Vegas until 1976 when it was shipped back to Graceland where it remained until 1981.
The car sold before the auction ended - the suggested price was $60,000.
Additional Elvis Memorabilia that came with the purchase included;
> Elvis Auction 200 page Book published by Guernsey with Pictures of the Vehicle and Listing Information
> Original Tennessee Title with Elvis Presley Museum on it.
> Copy of A letter from the President of Graceland that provides details about this vehicle
> Copy of an Insurance Policy Application from 1972 for the car in the name of Elvis and Vernon Presley
> A Poster Size Mounted Picture of this Station Wagon in front of the Graceland Mansion.
