Lese was Marty Lacker dazu sagt!

was reading the question that Mark had asked and I wanted to ask, do you think, if the fans then would have said to Elvis they were
worried about his health do you think he would have changed his lifestyle? I have read that Elvis always liked to make a good
impression on people but if he didnt have to impress his fans and they accepted his image do you think he would have bothered to
change or do you think he just liked the way things were? Was Elvis the type of person that always needed a challenge in his life?

Marty Says:
James,
If the fans would have made it known to Elvis via letters or if you happened to be close enough after a concert to get an autograph
and mentioned it to him, there's a good chance he would have got in shape and layed off the pills........The fact is, the pills were a big
part of the root of his problems.

In the later years he did not want to lose his fame and he probably would have heeded the fans message by getting healthy.

That is the opinion of some of us who had been with Elvis from the early years.

Yes, Elvis always rose to a challenge. He needed challenges but Parker just kept him doing the same things in the same cities over
and over and he was getting bored of it all.

He should have toured outside the U.S. in the mid 70's and most of us think he would still be alive today. He would have really got
himself in shape to perform in front of all the fans throughout the world but we now know Parker was an illegal alien and that's why he
didn't book him in England, Europe, Japan and Australia.

Parker said, after Elvis died, Elvis didn't want to do it but that's a lie. He talked to us about wanting to go a lot.

The last challenge he had was the Aloha satelite show and he got in good shape to do that.
