CD "Opening Night - January 1970"
 

The CD "Opening Night - January 1970" will be the follow up to Madison's "Hot August Night". This January 26, 1970 opening show recording was overall of poor quality because of severe microphone overload. It ain't perfect but now for the first time you will be able to enjoy this great concert from beginning to end according to the press-release.

This excellent new source has been greatly improved into a surprising fuller, dynamic and warmer sound. Elvis' vocal never sounded so good, and neither gives the impression this was produced from a worn out tape. Most previous releases of this show had the closing song cutting short ( less than 20 seconds ) and mentioned as '' not completely recorded ''. The whole closing number was recorded and features on this new version.

This limited edition of Opening Show - January 1970 will come with a professionally designed 16-page booklet, liner notes, memorabilia and photographs from Elvis' second Las Vegas season. ist doch eine nette taktik... man get jetzt zu Re-Re-Releases über... und damit der käufer nicht verärgert ist, verkündet man gleich in nicht ganz korrektem englisch, dass es ja als nächste cd eine unveröffentlichte show wieder gäbe.... ganz grosses kino.. naja allemal besser als eine Legendary Performer 14 oder Tiger Man 11 die demnächst anstehen

Genaues Lesen erleichtert das Finden der Anwort auf diese Frage! :ditsch:

Die Show gab es bislang nur gestückelt auf verschiedenen CDs (Baxter - Walk A Mile In My Shoes und Laurel/ Cupido - True Love Travels On A Gravel Road).
Kompletto zwar auch auf der Rock In Black, die war aber bekanntlich eher unschönes Machwerk.
Daher eine CD, auf die ich durchaus gespannt bin (die übliche Madison-Qualität jetzt mal vorausgesetzt).


Könnte mir z.B. den 13.Mai 1973, Lake Tahoe, Midnight Show vorstellen. Davon gabs 2 Titel auf der FTD Takin' Tahoe Tonight.
Zumindest hat Madison mit der CD Hot August Night gleichfalls von FTD nur teilweise verwendetes Material rausgebracht.

Traurig wenn Madison schon den gleichen Weg geht wie die Schundlabels :noidea:
